This DIY foot soak can help soften and get rid of your callus. |
Your feet no longer have to suffer from often harsher commercial treatments for a callus. The simple homemade callus remover recipe I’m going to share with you will soften up any tough callus more gently if you follow this advice.
Get your foot tub, basin or even a clean bucket to soak your feet in.
Remember I told you to check the bakery department of your local grocery stores and ask if you can have one of their empty buckets. They will probably give you one for free and be happy about it since you will save them a trip to dispose of it. This former bakery bucket can be used for any cleaning even of your feet if in a pinch.
Fill your foot tub or whatever you want to stick your feet in that will fit with warm water. Now you will need to add 1/2 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of salt (table, kosher, or sea salt) to your warm water. Mix and then add your feet and make sure there is enough water to reach to the ankles before you get comfortable in your chair.
Grab a book or your laptop and stay put in that water for at least twenty minutes to let the ingredients work on your feet.
When your time is up, you need to get your pumice stone or whatever tool you use for exfoliating your feet and gently rub the callus. When your skin starts shedding on your tool, then return your feet back to the water.
Don’t overwork your callus and cause a bigger problem. Be patient and repeat this cheap homemade callus remover treatment daily until you get rid of that painful callus.
After you dry, you moisturize those feet with a heavy cream even petroleum jelly before sticking them into a pair of white natural fiber-socks. Do this before bedtime and skin on your feet will be so pampered and soft the next day.
This homemade callus remover may sound like a messy way to treat those calluses. However, it is effective, handy, and will give you a nice soothing break at practically no expense.

Does this affect diabetic people?

I would check with my doctor first before using any such treatment if you have diabetes.
