A perfect pair of designer jeans that fit like a dream can be expensive. However, you can keep that fabulous pair you just bought in tiptop condition once you use this laundering trick to keep those new jeans looking great.
The first time you wash your new jeans, you need to soak them for two hours in heavily salted water (about three tablespoons per gallon) before anything else. By doing so, you will set the dye and keep the color fresh longer to keep new jeans looking great.
After the initial salt soaking, you wash those jeans using the cold-water setting on your washing machine.
This may sound silly, but it is well worth the extra bit of effort to preserve those new designer jeans that make you look like a million dollars. Trust me, ladies, you will thank me later!
Wow I've never heard of this method before but I just may have to give it a try, I recently received (won) some great new (expensive, designer) jeans and I would like to keep them looking new for as long as possible and this concept sounds very interesting. Thanks for the tip
