Now is the perfect time to make some homemade fudge when you can bake all those different varieties of fancy cookies to keep on hand for family and guests. However, some people feel intimidated by candy making. On the contrary, homemade fudge is also something quite easy to make with the right recipe such as my Choco-Marshmallow Fudge.
The recipe for my Choco-Marshmallow Fudge that I want to share with you is for one of my favorites. This fudge is velvety smooth and dripping with chocolate along with a crunchy trail of chopped nuts throughout its incredible goodness. You can serve this fudge plain or frost with another layer of chocolate decadence in frosting form.
I do hope when you get a chance that you will make a batch sometime because it is so utterly delicious that it would be a shame to keep this recipe all to myself!
Another fudge candy that I make as well that is hard to resist is a Peanut Butter Fudge.
My Choco-Marshmallow Fudge
7-ounce jar of marshmallow cream
1-1/2 cups of sugar
2/3 cup of evaporated milk
1/4 cup of margarine (not spread)
1/4 teaspoon of salt
12 ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Combine the first five ingredients and cook them until bringing to a full boil over medium heat, stirring constantly for about five minutes. (You need the sugar crystals to completely dissolve.)
Take off the heat and then add the chocolate chips and stir through.
Next, add the nuts and vanilla and stir in to mix.
Pour into a buttered 8 x 8-inch glass pan. Then chill until firm.
