How to Remedy Sweaty and Smelly Feet

Bare Feet
This post can help solve an embarrassing problem.

Some people have feet that sweat more than others.  The problem can be made worse by wearing synthetic shoes over natural materials like leather, which allows the feet to breathe more instead of locking the moisture in the shoe.  Think back to summer and plastic sandals like clogs and remember the stench once you slipped them off to understand how the material of the shoe makes such a difference in the amount of the odor that is released. For that reason, I would like to share some valuable advice on this common problem on how to remedy sweaty and smelly feet.

What else that helps is to soak your feet in a basin of tepid water with some apple cider vinegar to disinfect the bacteria causing that perspiration. Pour in about three tablespoons for your soak for about 10 or 15 minutes.  You can also use white vinegar, but I prefer the apple cider vinegar because it is powerful enough to act as a fungicide as well.  Both types of vinegar to soak your feet in can help remedy sweaty and smelly feet.

If you go to the gym and workout, you could possibly come in contact with a foot fungus that can discolor a toenail or even develop Athlete’s Foot, if you’re not careful.  I say if you are going to soak, then don’t take chances and safeguard your feet with an apple cider vinegar soak.

Just for the record, if you think you might have a fungus that is making your toenail look strange, then I have a suggestion that may help.  Do soak your feet first in the apple cider vinegar and then apply some VicksVapoRub over the area.  Cover with a pair of white cotton socks.  Continue this procedure for a few days and it should improve, if not totally clear up.

Don’t worry if you think that you will smell like salad.  Soap and water and a nice hot shower or bath will fix that.

I do hope you try these tips because they do help remedy sweaty and smelly feet!
