|These Crock Pot Stuffed Peppers also reheat very well!|
If you want an easy, but delicious dinner that you can throw in the crock pot and basically forget, then do I have the perfect recipe for you. My Crock Pot Stuffed Peppers are flavorful with onion and garlic goodness along with sage in a base mixture of ground turkey and rice that later is topped with a tomato-basil sauce.
Preparation is a breeze with just cleaning and chopping of the vegetables before mixing the filling ingredients, then stuffing the peppers and finally topping with that delectably sweetened sauce.
I hope you try my recipe because I think that you will really love it!

My Crock Pot Stuffed Peppers
1 pound ground turkey
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
3/4 cup of uncooked rice
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon of black pepper
½ teaspoon dried sage
5 whole bell peppers
1 large can (28-ounce) of petite, diced tomatoes
2 teaspoons of sugar
½ teaspoon of basil
Clean and cut the peppers in half. Set aside.
To prepare the filling: Mix all the above ingredients together, then stuff into the pepper halves.
To make the topping: Mix together and pour some in the bottom of your crock pot and save the rest to top your stuffed peppers once you transfer them.
Cook on low setting for about six hours. Periodically check if the peppers look dry. If so, add some spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce or just some water to keep them moist.
