Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Moisturizing Lipsticks

The more that I research and learn about makeup, the more concerned I become about the potential health-risks associated with ingredients like lead in lipsticks in many of those products. Burts Bees, on the other hand, gives me peace of mind that I’m not ingesting something possibly dangerous to my well-being with their Burts Bees 100% Natural Moisturizing Lipstick.  Today, I want to share five beautiful options to care and color your lips in a safer way thanks to the lipstick assortment that just arrived from PR for this review.

This line of lipsticks consists of 18 shades from pale, bright to bold colors. To keep lips moist and soft, this formula has lubricating ingredients of beeswax, moringa oil, raspberry seed oil and vitamin E.

In this line of Burts Bees 100% Natural Moisturizing Lipsticks,  I got to try 501 Blush Basin (peach nude), 510 Iced Iris (cool violet pink), 512 Fuchsia Flood (soft hot pink), 515 Tulip Tide (cool bubblegum pink with a hint of lavender), and 523 Sunset Cruise (coral pink).

Burts Bees Lipstick Swatches
Here are the swatches.  On the left is 501 Blush Basin, then 512 Fuchsia Flood, 523 Sunset Cruise, 515 Tulip Tide, and ending with 510 Iced Iris on the right.

The feel of a Burts Bees Lipstick is lightweight, but wonderfully moisturizing with a lot of slip to it.  These conditioning colors I sampled saturated my lips with more sheer than heavy color.  If you want more intense color, you can build these up easily.

While all those things are good, there are some faults to these lipsticks.  The first is they will need reapplying in about three hours before they sink and become more of a stain on your lips.  The only other flaw to this  lipstick is the tube itself. Despite the cute beehive design, this recyclable tube can be tricky to pull open so keep that in mind.

Have you tried Burts Bees 100% Natural Moisturizing Lipstick yet?  I say check these lip products out wherever you buy Burts Bees products.
