This wonderful hot sandwich is a great way to use stale bread.

Today, I have a wonderful hot sandwich idea that is sure to become a family favorite, especially if your crew loves grilled cheese sandwiches.  My Creole Style Grilled Cheese Sandwich is one that involves dipping the bread into an egg-milk mixture that comes alive to give the cheese even more flavor due to Cajun seasoning.  One bite of how that hot melted cheese mingles with this spice and you’ll go over the edge with pleasure.

Besides how great it tastes, my Creole Style Grilled Cheese Sandwich recipe is also a fantastic way to use any bread that is getting stale.

I do hope that you try making my recipe because it is incredible and deliciously different!  This is one sandwich recipe that I guarantee that  you will want to keep in your collection.

I happen to prefer hot sandwiches over plain ones any day of the week.  Two other wonderful ones that I make are my recipes for my Special Baked Tuna Sandwich that has Velveeta cheese, black olives, onions, eggs with a simple seasoned sauce to maximum flavor and my Sloppy People Sandwiches.  Unlike a typical Sloppy Joe sandwich, my recipe kicks up flavor to new heights for a wonderful hot sandwich.

Creole Style Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

6 slices of stale bread
1/4 cup of milk
1 large egg
6 slices of American cheese
3 tablespoons of corn or canola oil
1 teaspoon of Pereg Cajun Seasoning

Mix the milk, egg and Cajun seasoning together.

Now assemble each sandwich with two slices of cheese.  Then dip both sides of the bread in the liquid. Heat the oil.

Now place your sandwiches into the hot frying pan to cook.

Turn up the heat, but not high and cook until golden brown and the cheese melts.

ENJOY!
