Sometimes, it is unavoidable to find yourself running late. Regardless of the reason for the unplanned rushing, there is still a way that you can speed your makeup application to pull your look together for a perfect polished look. All that you need are a few, great makeup shortcuts that can save you time.
Makeup Shortcuts Tip One: Organizing Beforehand Can Pay Off
Instead of hunting through a pile of cosmetics that you may have in a giant acrylic organizer or drawers, I found an easier system for the morning rush. I have two cosmetic bags just for this purpose. One bag has neutral colors of lipstick, blush, concealer, and mascara. Another bag has some pink inspired colors of the same makeup products. Depending on what I am wearing, I can properly coordinate without the wasting more time trying to find colors that won’t clash. A ready made bag system stocked with your products is a handy makeup shortcut.
Moisturizing With Multi-Tasking Products Is Makeup Shortcut Two
For days when time is of the essence, I skip the primer and focus just on eye serum and moisturizer. Even if your complexion is oily, you need to prep your skin with an eye serum and the right formula of moisturizer for your needs. Do your eyes first and then grab an SPF moisturizer for your face and apply. While waiting a few minutes for it to properly absorb, I use that time to put on my lingerie.
I am purist when it comes to tinted moisturizers, BB or CC creams. I feel layering with plain moisturizer first as a protective barrier is healthier for the skin than introducing one with color that is more like a makeup.
Concealing Problems Is Makeup Shortcut Three
As we age, our chances of more days of under eye darkness and eye puffiness increase. Another makeup shortcut is turning to concealers. This product is also wonderful for covering any facial redness. If you have allergies, you encounter the same issues that reveal exactly how you feel but don’t need the world to see. Being the case, concealers are indispensable for hiding lack of sleep from stress, illness, allergies, or simply as a result of age. Of all the cosmetics I depend on, I would be lost without a good concealer and lipstick.
In a pinch, you can also use a concealer as highlighter for your nose, the forehead, middle of your chin to your cheekbones to speed up your makeup application.
Perfecting Your Complexion Is Makeup Shortcut Four
Depending on what your skin is like will determine the amount of coverage that you need. My favorite foundation product is a multitasking BB or CC cream for SPF, skin care benefits and smoothing my complexion out. I also feel BB or CC creams are kinder to aging complexions with ligh-enhancing formulas that don’t seem to migrate to emphasize lines
Adding Color to the Face Is Makeup Shortcut Five
A touch of color to cheeks and lips can revive a tired face. You can instantly look healthier and more vibrant with a great lipstick and touch of rose blush.
Minimize Eye Products to Your Advantage Is the Final Makeup Shortcut
When I am scrambling around trying to get out of the door, I don’t pull out all stops when it comes to doing my eyes. I skip the eyeliner and eye shadows, but focus on curling my lashes to open up my eyes before applying mascara.
These makeup shortcuts can help speed up your makeup application. Some women may be tempted to finish applying eye shadow or eye liner later when traveling on route, which is a dangerous game to play with your eyes.
I have seen women in their cars when stopped at red lights lining their eyes with pencil eyeliners or lifting a mascara wand. If another car beeped or accidentally bumped into their vehicle, these women might have lost their eyes.
If you use public transportation and try to apply eye makeup, you run into the same chances getting bumped and poking your eye from another passenger, a sudden stop or a bumpy ride while you’re trying to apply.
What else can help is keeping a beauty stash for repairs at your workplace, which can get you through a long, rushed day.
Limit the risk to your beauty and health. One day without your full face of makeup is not going to make you look any less attractive. Wear what you have with pride and celebrate the beauty that you are because you can always improve your look tomorrow.
These are great tips. I like the multi taking while moisturizing and I also always have to have a good concealer!
Good tips. When I wearmakeup I always wear something with sunscreen in it. Even adding a little SPF is better than none at all.
I would love to have a few extra minutes in the morning to myself!

Loading a few cosmetic bags with the color groups that you regularly use does help get you out of the door faster when rushed.
I think a tinted moisturizer would help streamline my makeup routine.
LOL I have saw a few woman in car with that mascara cannot believe that they are doing it in the car. This is a good list that would help a lot of woman, but could use one extra thing. Get up 15 minutes early 🙂
