A foundation stick is one of the most convenient forms of makeup for simplifying a beauty routine. I always had luck with L’Oreal liquid foundations and was quite curious how their new Infallible Shaping Stick Foundation would work for someone like me with dry skin. Therefore, I was eager to give this foundation stick a test run on my complexion.
According to L’Oreal, this foundation stick is so longwearing that it is meant to last 24 hours. I don’t know anyone that keeps their makeup on for that extensive length of time unless partying all night and falling asleep with makeup to prove that claim. However, I can honestly say this formula is creamy, blends seamlessly into the skin for a beautiful texture with dewy, medium coverage that does keep up with you through a normal day.

The Infallible Shaping Stick Foundation has 12 shades in this line’s color range. Usually, I don’t go with the palest shade on the spectrum except in this case foundation stick 100 Ivory appeared to be the most suitable candidate.

My complexion is on the pale side with some yellow undertones. Depending on the brand, I wear fair warm shades to light for the most success when trying to pinpoint the best match for my skin tone. The foundation stick Ivory does seem lighter in the bullet than on the skin where it takes on a subtle peach warmth that is slightly darker. Anyone that has the same sort of fair to light warm coloring like mine would find this 100 Ivory shade the perfect choice with how effortlessly this foundation stick adapted color wise to my complexion.
What else I noticed about this Infallible foundation stick was that this product’s formula was velvety in texture and never sat in my pores or looked patchy after applying. I can also say this foundation stick performed well for not accumulating in laugh lines, which can be a problem I noticed with some drugstore foundations.
I wish that I could tell you how it would work for anyone with oily skin or if you have a lot acne and skin issues to hide, but I can’t because I do have nice skin that can wear light coverage formulas. Regardless, I did like this foundation stick for all reasons above in how it evened out my complexion to make it practically flawless.
Have you tried the new L’Oreal Infallible Foundation Shaping Stick yet? If so, tell me what you thought. Check this product out because it may be ideal for your complexion too.
I haven’t seen this foundation stick yet. I haven’t had luck with other stick foundations as I have oily skin and whatever they put in the formula to keep it in stick form clogs my pores.
