DIY Conditioning Hair Oil for Gloss You’ll Love

DIY Conditioning Hair Oil for Gloss Woman with Glossy Hair

This DIY Conditioning Hair Oil recipe can give you that glossy hair that you always longed for.

Homemade beauty treatments may take more time to prepare than opening a bottle or a jar and often can be a bit messy, but the extraordinary benefits outweigh any of its drawbacks like what this DIY Conditioning Hair Oil can do for keeping it soft and lustrous.

My DIY Conditioning Hair Oil recipe can pretty much work for all hair types with the combination of different levels of moisturizing oils that I use. When you use lighter oils like virgin coconut oil and grapeseed oil along with another that has more moisturizing power like organic apricot kernel oil and include an even heavier oil such as organic jojoba oil, you get a conditioning oil formula that is better balanced overall.

All the antioxidants and fatty acids in virgin coconut oil provide wonderful help to lubricate hair and treat any scalp issues since it also has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Being rich in vitamins K and E, coconut oil can help stimulate hair follicles to encourage hair growth while strengthening the strands, keep the scalp healthy and add fantastic moisture and shine.

Grapeseed oil is an even lighter oil than coconut oil that has amazing properties to contribute to this DIY Conditioning Hair Oil. Its vitamin E and linoleic acid also can rescue a dry, itchy scalp. At the same time, grapeseed oil can moisturize and strengthen the hair besides reviving lost shine.

The rich fatty acids in apricot kernel oil, primarily oleic and linoleic acid make for more intense conditioning and hydration for hair and scalp. This choice can quench the thirst of a dry scalp and hair.

I decided on jojoba oil to condition because of its vitamins such as C, E, and various B’s and strengthening minerals of copper and zinc. This selection of oil helps moisturize and save the hair from potential breakage. According to some research, jojoba oil may help limit hair loss.

Just a few drops basically are all you need to use. You will have to experiment with the number of drops that ideally works for you. Being my hair is about medium length, and I use about four drops. I like to apply after washing while my hair is partially damp.

Sometimes, I do also apply a little of this DIY Conditioning Hair Oil to dry hair for days it needs extra help.  By the way, I found that hair oil is helpful for any renegade curl or wayward strands that are sticking out and giving me trouble when styling.

Once that you try my DIY Conditioning Hair Oil, you’ll really appreciate its new riveting shine.

Use a double boiler to slowly melt the coconut oil.

Remove it from the heat and allow to slightly cool before mixing with other oils to throughly combine.

You can buy a set of six amber glass bottles for essential oils that have eye droppers for measuring out the drops on Amazon that is great for this purpose. This set is $5.43 and the perfect sizes for storage with six bottles that are one-ounce sizes.
