Feet that have a tendency to sweat are not pleasant to have for you or anyone that is near you when you take your shoes off. Needless to say, this offensive odor is caused by the moisture, which is a breeding ground for bacteria that are present and multiplying by taking advantage of the sweat and dead cells to help it along. If you suffer from stinky feet and want a home remedy for this problem, I have just the thing with this fix for stinky feet.
Earlier I shared a few other solutions for handling sweaty, smelly feet. This particular fix for stinky feet refreshes and manages to control the sweating quite well.
The reason my stinky feet fix seems to keep the feet sweeter smelling longer is due to liquid chlorophyll for deodorizing with its natural chlorophyllin. This same compound also has shown to be promising in healing bacteria found in skin wounds.
By the same token, I added iodine tincture that can kills bacteria to any budding foot fungus to further disinfect. The iodine labeled tincture has alcohol that helps dilute the iodine concentration.
Unlike a foot soak, you will be painting this stinky feet fix on the soles of your feet. The bottoms of your feet may gain a bit more color, but this foot treatment does seem to better control sweating and their bad odor.
Reasons for Stinky Feet
Some common reasons for stinky feet are due to hormonal changes the body may be going through such as pregnancy or puberty. During those times in life, the body could sweat more to explain an extra foul smell.
By the same token, working at a job that requires you to stand all day on your feet can cause excess sweating in your shoes.
Another factor to keep in mind is you may have developed a medical condition that altered your body chemistry. One medical condition that you may have inherited is hyperhidrosis that causes out of control sweating. The feet, hands, underarms, and face are affected when the nervous system goes out of whack to stimulate the sweat glands.
Fix for Stinky Feet
2-1/2 tablespoons of iodine tincture
1-1/4 cups of liquid chlorophyll
1-1/2 cups of distilled water
Mix the ingredients and store in a clean container that has a tight fitting lid.
Apply to the soles of your clean feet with a fresh, clean brush once a day.
Any unused solution can be saved for a month or so for other times. The distilled water is what I depend on to better preserve this fix treatment longer.
My fiance’ struggles with this problem during the summer. Thanks for sharing a solution!
