One of my vices is never missing my ritual of a long, leisurely bath. I found that spending time in scented, healing water with my mix of bath salts and oils help me recoup from the day’s stress and that wiped out feeling to sore muscles through aromatherapy and soothing minerals, botanicals, and oils among other beneficial ingredients. When I am particularly drained, hurting and not in the best mood, I have been turning to my DIY detox mineral bath soak for feeling like myself again.
My DIY detox mineral bath soak recipe has Epsom salt, magnesium sulfate. This wonderful mineral is easily absorbed by the body and aids in improving circulation. For those times when muscles and joints are in pain, soaking in some for at 15 minutes or more can ease suffering.
If you’re starting to feel like you are coming down with something, Epsom salt raises body temperature. My DIY detox mineral bath soak recipe can help you sweat out those toxins to possibly feel better sooner.
Another reason Epsom salt is important in this DIY detox mineral bath soak is because of how it changes blood flow for inducing relaxation. As a result of a long soak with Epsom salt, blood pressure tends to go down and sleep becomes easier.
Ginger is another fantastic ingredient for bettering circulation and calming inflammation. Soaking with this ingredient provides soothing warmth. Depending on how much you want to use, it can really make you sweat to purge even more of those unwanted toxins from your pores. What I am sharing is the amount that worked for me when preparing for bedtime.
Baking soda is something else that I like to use in this DIY detox mineral bath recipe for skin softening and its anti-bacterial effects.
Another ingredient that never fails was adding some Dead Sea salt for immersing in. With its ample supply of minerals such as magnesium, calcium, sulfur, bromide, iodine, sodium, potassium, and zinc, this ingredient provides that comfort you desperately need. Dead Sea salt also is known for its disinfecting properties, ability to heal wounds and softening skin.
Eucalyptus essential oil is the last ingredient for this DIY detox bath recipe. I found that its aroma helps clear congestion, which is especially helpful for anyone with sinus or allergies problems like yours truly. Besides helping headaches and stuffiness, it is also is great for being antiseptic, anti-fungal, pain relieving, and overall energizing.
As I mentioned often, always dilute your essential oil with a carrier for the safest way to avoid a permanent allergy. Of course, there are a few exceptions that are considered safe such as lavender and rose essential oils. However, you can always become allergic to anything at anytime.
To help sleep even better after stepping out of the tub, I love to use my DIY sleep promoting aromatherapy body rub.

I love that you add ginger to your detox soak. I think that would give the anti-inflammatory features even more of a boost!
