An Electric Lawn Mower You’ll Want to Own

RYOBI Electric Lawn Mover
Check out how tiny this electric lawn mower is, but one that does a great job.

We needed a new electric lawn mower and the RYOBI 13-inch 11 Amp Corded Electric Walk Behind Push Mower did the trick. We were looking for a corded mower since the battery versions were more expensive and the cost of replacing that battery worried me.

We never owned a RYOBI lawn mower before and had no idea of how reliable or what sort of job their product could do. However, the specifications of their electric lawn mower seemed perfect for what we were looking for our yard. Although they had another version that was bigger at 16 inches, we liked the smaller size since it took less space in our garage. Since it was a brand of mower that we never owned before, we thought spending less on it was better to test out how well it worked.

**We purchased this lawn mower.**

Now if you have a large yard, you may need a bigger mower. But for us this smaller electric lawn mower was fine. The cost was less than $100 too!

To our surprise, the RYOBI 13-inch electric lawn mower was amazingly light. When you push or pull the mower almost seems like it’s not there. This is our only beef with it. As my guy cut and pushed and then pulled it back maneuvering around a bush he noticed the front wheels lift up a bit. So you have to watch out for that. In fact, when the bag gets closer to full that weighs the mower down in the back so if you are backing up the mower lifts a bit.

But as you move it forward, the contact with the grass is just fine. He didn’t have any problems with cutting. The cut was nice and uniform. Setting the height was a once lever adjustment on the front wheel. On our last mower, he had to adjust each wheel and sometimes the wheels won’t match because it would slip. The size being 13 inches didn’t slow him down at all. We had a 18-inch electric lawn mower before this one. It was quicker cutting the yard.

This was the first time he cut the grass this year. The grass was tall and a lot of weeds poked through. But the RYOBI 13-inch electric lawn mower powered through it like it was nothing! Our old, larger mower wouldn’t do well that first cut of the year. Frankly, RYOBI did a better job of what he feared might be a rough cut into an easy one.

The box seemed small, but remember we bought the 13-inch RYOBI electric lawn mower. We ordered on a Sunday from Home Depot and it arrived on a Tuesday, nicely boxed and delivery was free! We like free shipping!

Assembly was easy since all he had to do was to grab the handle built into the mower top where the motor is, not the handle you push and lift it out of the box. And trust me it’s light but it seems built tough. Then all you do is push down on two buttons near two holes where the handles go, push the handles into the holes and the buttons snap up and it’s locked. You just raise the collapsed handle into position and screw it in place. Actually, he used the mower and then collapsed the handle and bent it down for storage. Wow, but this electric lawn mower takes very little space in the garage! Furthermore, it is light enough for a delicate, small woman to cut the grass.

If you’re in need of a new lawn mower, we highly recommend checking the RYOBI electric lawn mower out because it does what you need at an affordable price.

We really need a mower. Currently we pay someone to come mow every couple of weeks. This would be so much better!

Years ago I have a electric mower and I loved it. For some reason I could never get a gas power to start or keeping it going. When I moved to a apartment it still worked and I passed it on to one of my niece.
