Instant Ways for How to Give All Hair More Volume

Instant Ways to Give All Hair More Volume

All of us long for the beauty secret that can guarantee us a gorgeous head of hair. After all, a little lift always seems to make any hair style that much better. If you feel the same way, here are  instant ways to give hair more volume.

You may be using a volumizing shampoo and conditioner to address fine or thin hair with ingredients like panthenol (vitamin B6) and oat protein, which can thicken the strands. However, you might also want to start adding a clarifying shampoo once a week to your routine. Be careful of the ingredients if you use haircoloring because they can strip the color along with the styling product buildup that can weigh the hair down.

The reason a regular clarifying shampoo is so harsh is due to an acid such as acetic acid and a higher pH level. Look for a restorative clarifying shampoo formula with ingredients like caring botanicals and rich natural oils that is safe for color-treated hair. Getting rid of the extra weight from this hair residue can help give hair new height.

Even if you don’t have fine or thin hair, switching to a volumizing shampoo and conditioner for use the rest of the week can make a difference in amplifying the appearance of your hair.

Something else that can help to give hair more volume is using your daily hair conditioner sparingly. Try skipping the conditioner near the roots where it can mix with scalp oils that can weigh it down. Instead, concentrate on the ends of the hair or the section that hangs if you wear a ponytail.

We all know dry shampooing is recommended just to do at the roots. Of course, this will get rid of the hair oils and gunk from products lingering on the scalp. Yet, it doesn’t address the rest of the strands. Therefore, try spraying the dry shampoo from the scalp down the hair and all over. This does seem to freshen up the hair more for a look of fuller volume.

Despite what you may be doing, you still may be disappointed with the amount of volume that your hair has. If so, you might want to go a step further by changing your hairstyle just a bit. Ask your stylist for some long layers with separation at the ends or some internal layering can give hair more volume instantly.

I have down-growing hair that often doesn’t give me the magic height when using root lifters.  I don’t know about your experiences with root lifting sprays, but here is something that does seem to help get my hair lifted up more that I used to do when my hair was longer. After spraying it with the volumizing root spray, try gently pulling the hair into a topknot and use a wide, looser scrunchie that won’t leave marks as it gathers the hair. Make it comfortable enough to sleep and then take it out the next morning. The hair seems to gain more natural volume and stay up better from this type of simple set.

You also boost volume using your hair dryer with a round brush. This is another simple blow-drying method that also can help fake more hair.

Great tips! I do think I need to try a clarifying shampoo because I use so many products like leave in conditioners and I am sure my hair has build up.

A lot of good ideals here. I have also found that I have to switch shampoos ever so often.
