Sericin Plus Peeling Gel Review + ($125) Giveaway–Ends 09/30/2019

Sericin Plus Peeling Gel

Our faces are constantly under attack from chemical ingredients in makeup and skin care to environmental pollutants that could linger in the skin. With the horde of products we use, it is more important than ever to make exfoliation an essential part of your beauty routine like a weekly facial peel such as the Sericin Plus Peeling Gel that I have been using for this review and giveaway.

This luxury skin care product is without parabens and manufactured in the United States. It is a clear gel with sericin silk protein, botanicals, antioxidants, and a variety of acids. Specifically, the ingredients include: deionized water/(aqua), propylene glycol, hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) water, PEG400, carbomer, dodecylbenzyltrimonium chloride, aloe barbadensis (leaf juice), chamomilla recutita flower (chamomile) extract, lecithin, retinyl acetate, tocopherol, polyquaternium-10, glycerine, hydrolyzed silk protein, sodium hydroxide, phenoxethanol, ethlhexlglycerin, fragrance, and salicylic acid.

I used the Sericin Plus Peeling Gel by applying to my freshly washed face and carefully avoiding the eye area like when using any other exfoliating product. This is a concentrated blend of various acids so I used it sparingly as I massaged it into my skin. According to the directions, you are to leave the product on until desired exfoliation is achieved. This translated to the moment my face started getting pink, which was about one to two minutes for my dry skin before I rinsed it off.

Afterwards, I noticed my skin felt tingly clean and softer. Though you can use this peeling gel twice a week, I plan on using it only once a week. After all, your exfoliated skin needs time to recover in between treatments to keep it in top shape.

This is an intensive heavy duty exfoliating product that does lift away imbedded traces of makeup, grime and old skin cells quite thoroughly, but it is also one that does have some questionable ingredients that may give you some reason for concern. I’m referring to ingredients such as sodium hydroxide, propylene glycol and PEG400 (that is the similar to propylene glycol). My advice is doing some research and then decide for yourself.

Thanks to Sericin Plus, one lucky Beauty Cooks Kisses reader in the United States wins silk-inspired skin care with the Sericin Plus Peeling Gel ($125 value)!

I really like that their website has lots of information, and more importantly, encourages you to contact them if you have any questions. I have used skincare and makeup products in the past where I had a question, but found it impossible to find a contact to ask.

carefully avoiding the eye area — Why is that? I was reading another blog last week and she was talking about a facial peel. And then they asked if she wanted under her eyes done.

With the sort of chemical ingredients that you are putting in such a thin layer of skin in that eye area, it is a dangerous thing to do.

Sericin+ Facial Peeling Gel is Enriched with Silk Protein Sericin. This Facial Peeling Gel will gently remove dead skin cells and impurities from the top layer of your skin, revealing a smooth, refreshed, and silky soft skin underneath. My extra oily skin that mixes with dead skin and clogs pores desperately needs exfoliating peels at least twice a week and it is considerably noticeable when I don’t have this type exfoliation because I start having break outs.
