Those of us that have some form of curls to our hair know the special problems with manageability like frizz, extra dryness and knotting that come with it. I don’t have tight curls, but more of a wavy curl that varies in styling difficulty depending on the cut of my hair or length. Therefore, I was curious about the new Ouidad Revive & Shine Rejuvenating Dry Oil Mist that arrived at my door the other day.

The Ouidad Dry Oil Mist is in an aerosol can that sprays out a fine conditioning spray that lends moisture and shine from mongongo oil, watermelon seed oils, argan, walnut and avocado oils. The product also has carob tree protein to help strengthen the strands at the same time. To further safeguard hair, it has UV and thermal protection in a formula free of parabens, phthalates, mineral oils, and artificial dyes.
How I used it was first shaking the can to distribute the ingredients to prepare to mist over my dry finished hairstyle. To be honest, I didn’t know how much to use and started with just a little when misting about six inches from the middle of my hair to the ends. I worked my fingers rubbing what I applied through to the ends.
The feel of the Ouidad Revive & Dry Rejuvenating Dry Oil Mist is not greasy like a typical hair oil, but it does contribute a different sort of texture without that feeling of excess slickness. Spraying a bit more helped for more control while quenching the dryness. I didn’t notice the same degree of a shine like some other hair oils I use, but it multitasks with the extra moisture, manageability and some shine, which I appreciated.
If you have curls and want a product that won’t leave your hair feeling wet trying to refresh it, I suggest visiting the company’s website, Ulta, Amazon or sephora.com to find this Ouidad Revive & Shine Rejuvenating Dry Oil Mist. It retails for $28 for 5 oz.
