Despite how busy you are, taking a few precautions now with some healthy summer skin tips can help keep your skin from betraying you later. Here are just a few ways that you can help yourself from the ravages of time and premature aging or possible skin cancer.

The sooner in life that you make it a habit to wear a broad spectrum sunscreen daily, the better off your skin will be. After all, sun damage doesn’t happen overnight. It is cumulative. A good example is thinking back to any case of bad sunburn that you might have had in the past that caused you to peel. If you remember having any of those brown spots on your arms or face, this could have been caused by sunburn.

Even though you may have already incorporated a sunscreen into your daily beauty routine, you may be neglecting some vulnerable spots on your face such as the eye and lip areas. Look for formulas that are safe and hopefully water-resistant, especially for the eye area as well as ones without avobenzone that can irritate sensitive eyes. You can protect your lips with your normal lip balm, tinted lip balm with SPF to just applying some sunscreen followed by slathering on lip balm as it wears off.

Another of the healthy summer skin tips is developing a sunscreen wardrobe to have the right option for that day’s needs. For instance, you might have a daily SPF 30 sunscreen just for going to work or shopping, a heavier formula such as an SPF 50 or SPF 100 for spending longer times outdoors to a tinted formula as a light foundation substitute.

Something else to keep in mind is sunscreen formulas differ in how their coverage goes. Lotions are better for smoothing on more even coverage than sticks or sprays for this purpose. After all, you have more of a chance to miss sections when you start rubbing the product in as far as how it dilutes when spreading out for healthy summer skin.

Before you put on your makeup, you may like to apply a sunscreen. However, it can be tricky to do without smearing. Therefore, an SPF powder that you can brush over your makeup is a fantastic way to keep fresh and yet protected.

Sometimes taking a few extra moments to adapt your beauty routine can be all it takes for healthy summer skin to prolong your beauty and save from that risk of skin cancer.

These are great tips. I began a strict routine of skincare in my late teens and it has paid off.

This is all super advice for our skin. I do wish when I was younger that I did use a better sunscreen with the right amount of SPF.
