1 ½ cups of peeled chopped apple pieces
1 cup of flour
1 cup of quick oats
4 teaspoons of baking powder, leveled
3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of allspice
1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
½ cups of sugar
1/3 cup of canola oil
1 cup of milk
1/4 cup of chopped walnuts
1 large egg

  1. Sift dry ingredients together and set aside in a mixing bowl.
  2. Combine the egg, milk and oil and add the liquid ingredients all at once to the dry ingredients.
  3. Stir until mixed to combine.
  4. Add the chopped apples and nuts.
  5. Transfer to your lined or well-greased muffin pan cups and fill.
  6. Bake in a 400-degree oven for about 18-20 minutes.
  7. Test with a cake tester, slender knife or a toothpick to see if anything sticks for determining doneness.
  8. This recipe makes 12 muffins.
