Gingerbread Waffles with Syrup
Gingerbread Waffles
My Gingerbread Waffles recipe is an ideal way to simplify the morning breakfast rush. These sweet waffles taste just as good for popping into the toaster the next day.

Ingredients
  • 5 cups of flour
  • 5 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 7 teaspoons of baking powder leveled
  • 5 eggs separated
  • 4 -1/4 cups of milk
  • 10 tablespoons oil + 1 teaspoon to lube your waffle iron
  • ½ cups ofmolasses
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons of ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoons of ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla
Sift the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Separate the eggs. Add the egg yolks, milk, molasses, vanilla and oil to the dry ingredients. Beat these ingredients with a whisk until smooth. Fold in stiffly beaten egg white last just to incorporate into your waffle batter. I use a silicone brush to spread the teaspoon of oil inside my waffle iron. Allow your waffle iron to heat and then start frying. Keep frying your waffles until you finish the batter. ENJOY!
