Ingredients
  • One lb. Johnsonville Hot Italian Sausage (remove the casing and cut into small pieces)
  • 4 cloves peeled chopped garlic
  • 1 medium onion peeled and chopped fine
  • One 28-oz. size Dei Fratelli Diced Tomatoes
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of rosemary leaves
  • 2 tablespoons of canola or olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • One lb. of shells or a macaroni product of your choice
Instructions
  1. Brown your chopped onion and garlic in the oil until lightly golden.  Follow with the sausage pieces that are free of the casing, along with the rest of the ingredients, except for the uncooked pasta.  Cook everything together for about an hour.
  2. Cook your shells or the type pasta of your choice.  Drain and then mix the meat mixture through for an easy dinner.  Grated Parmesan or Romano tastes great to top it with when serving!
  3. ENJOY!
